Castle Neuschwanstein

The "Fairytale Castle" Neuschwanstein is absolutely worth a day trip. Only an hour away from Seefeld is the castle fascinating in the municipality of Schwangau near Füssen, in unspoilt nature and unique idyllic location.

 

Ludwig II of Bavaria had built this castle and it is probably his most famous castle. Each year it attracts up to 1.3 million visitors and is one of the most visited castles in Europe. More than 6000 people a day visit in the summer the rooms, which were once for a single person.

Castle Hohenschwangau

In the immediate vicinity of Neuschwanstein is the castle Hohenschwangau.

 

After 1836 Crown Prince Maximilian of Bavaria let the ruined castle schwanstein rebuilt in the new gothic style, King Ludwig II spent his youth here. Visit the large ballroom, the Orient-room and the "Hohenstaufen"-room and let yourself be enchanted.

Castle Tratzberg

The castle is located in Stans, only half an hour from Seefeld and is the jewel of the Renaissance castles of Austria.

 

In the 13th Century, the castle was first mentioned. Today it has been renovated with a lot of commitment and thus become one of the most important art and cultural monuments in the country.

 

But also the surroundings of the castle offers a beautiful hiking. You can also visit the famous pilgrimage church of St. Georgenberg. An ideal destination for a family trip!

Castle Ambras

In the south of Innsbruck lies the magnificent Castle Ambras on a small hill. It was expanded in the 16th Century by Archduke Ferdinand II for himself and his wife to a magnificent Renaissance Residence.
