Olympic region Seefeld - Mecca of cross-country skiing
As early as 1964 and 1976 Seefeld hosted the Nordic competitions for the Olympic Winter Games. Later in 1985 the Nordic Ski World Championships and 1999 the cross-country Skiing World Cup took place in Seefeld. So you can really say that you're running on tracks on which the stars were fighting for hundredths of a second!
The Olympic region lures with 266km cross-country skiing trails in various steps of difficulty for the total winter fun. It's not only the Tyrolean hospitality why a regular guest are the national teams, but also because the offer is constantly improved. And for those who also wants to do sports in the evenig is offered between Seefeld and Mösern a 3km night-trail. From Monday to Friday from 5pm till 9pm, the entire trail is illuminated with numerous headlights.
