Active through the summer
SEEFELD IS ALSO THE “NORDIC” DESTINATION NO. 1 IN SUMMER.
An unbelievable 266 km of running and Nordic walking trails, a new summer roller ski track, a biathlon facility, the unique location and lots of fresh mountain air – with these features, the Olympic region now also impresses in summer as the “Nordic” destination in a class of its own.
Nordic Walking is absolutely trendy:
This healthy endurance sport, which is easy on the joints and for which suitable shoes and the right poles are all that is needed as “starting equipment”, is easy to learn and equally attractive for (sports) beginners and ambitious athletes. Since the fall of 2010, Seefeld has also had a ski roll course, laid out between the Casino Arena and the Möser Valley, which allows a combination of different levels of difficulty tailored to individual training sessions. It is a total of 3.3 km long and 3 m wide and is primarily used by training teams to complete their training workload throughout the summer.
Additional “condition bonus points” are collected quasi automatically through the optimal altitude of the region between 1,200 m and 1,400 m: The air here already has somewhat less oxygen and this boosts the cardiovascular system after a short acclimatization period, the breathing activity and the metabolism become more efficient and economical.
